58-year-old father of Ukrainian athletics champion killed in action near Avdiivka
Famous Ukrainian runner Olha Bibik announced the death of her father. Anatolii, 58, who volunteered for the First Tank Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces after the start of the full-scale invasion.
From the first days of the war, he defended Chernihiv in Novoselivka. Since May 2023, he has been a grenade launcher at the front in Avdiivka.
"This is his second war in his life. In 1983-1985, he was in Afghanistan. He was a very brave and decent man. He never complained about difficulties. In a few days he will be brought to the funeral. We will be grateful for your support," Olha wrote on Instagram, adding the details of the cards.
