Security has been tightened at the TCR and military bases: what's the reason

Security measures have been stepped up at military units and other institutions subordinate to the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine following a series of explosions near and in the premises of Territorial Centres of Recruitment and Social Support (TCR and SS). Law enforcement is currently investigating such crimes.

This was reported to "Suspilne" by the Communications Department of the Land Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They informed that law enforcement agencies are investigating the cases of attacks on the TCR and SS.

"Security measures have been strengthened in all military units, institutions, and establishments subordinate to the Land Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to protect personnel, civilian staff, and visitors from possible emergencies," the statement said.

In particular, this includes increased patrolling of the perimeter of military facilities and adjacent territories; access control to the territory of the facilities; improvement of video surveillance systems and technical means for detecting and preventing crimes.

Additional briefings and drills were also held with security personnel on how to act in emergencies.

Additional briefings were also held with personnel and civilian staff on how to interact with the emergency services of the State Emergency Service, police, and the Security Service of Ukraine in case of detection of unknown objects, unauthorized entry into the territory by unauthorized persons, and other emergencies.

Colonel Oleh Dombrovskyi, spokesperson for the "West" Operational Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said on "Suspilne" TV that the TRC bombings were inspired by Russia.

"When our civil society has a certain degree of distrust in the government, then such cases will occur. The things we have seen in recent days are designed to influence citizens who have individual psychological instability. And the enemy feels this very well and tries to manipulate it," he said.

As OBOZ.UA reported, earlier the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine warned Ukrainians against cooperation with Russian special services, which have begun to resort to new tactics. They are attempting to blow up the TRC – recruited saboteurs die, as they become suicide bombers, even though they don’t know it.
