"Now they'll say it's fake": video of Budanov blowing up the Kremlin is being discussed online

A mocking video of the Kremlin being "blown up" is being discussed on social media. The video shows the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov.
In the video, Budanov is allegedly standing near the Kremlin while the building is being blown up. The footage was posted on Twitter (to watch the video, scroll to the bottom of the page)
In fact, Budanov's face was photoshopped to resemble the footage from the 2011 American action film "Mission Impossible: Phantom Protocol" from 2011, starring Hollywood actor Tom Cruise. According to the film's plot, agent Ethan Hunt escapes from a Russian prison where he was held under the name Sergei Ivanov. In Moscow, he receives an assignment and is about to infiltrate the Kremlin to retrieve his dossier from a secret archive.
Hunt and his team are accused of involvement in the Kremlin bombing and the theft of a nuclear suitcase.
In the comments to the video, in which Budanov was portrayed as Ethan Hunt, netizens left ironic comments. They wrote that the video forgot to add the head of the SBU, Vasyl Malyuk, and that the footage would be "unfairly" labelled fake.
"Malyuk was forgotten - he always had a partner," "Malyuk is the cameraman of this action this time," "Now they will start to f*ck with me that it's all fake," "There was no war yet, but I already liked this moment," "This is a masterpiece," "It was done by a genius!", "Fire," "Budanov is a magician of reincarnation," "Most likely, Budanov did it," commentators wrote.
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, until recently, Ukraine did not recognise its involvement in the drone attack on the Kremlin on the eve of 9 May 2023. However, the head of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, hinted that Ukrainian intelligence services might have been involved.
