In the Republic of Congo, a country in west-central Africa, more than 50 people have died of an unknown disease. In most cases, the interval between the onset of symptoms and death was 48 hours.

This is reported by AP, citing data from doctors and the World Health Organization. In particular, the last outbreak of the disease in the territory began on January 21, when 419 cases were recorded, 53 of which were fatal.

According to the WHO African Office, the first outbreak in Boloko occurred after three children ate a bat. They died within 48 hours from symptoms of hemorrhagic fever.

According to the newspaper, there is concern that the disease is transmitted from animals to humans in places where wild animals are eaten. According to WHO 2022, the number of such outbreaks in Africa has increased by more than 60% over the past decade.

After the second outbreak of the disease began in Bomate on February 9, samples from 13 cases were sent for testing to the National Institute of Biomedical Research in the Congolese capital, Kinshasa.

Later it became known that all the samples were negative for Ebola and other common diseases such as Marburg, and some were found to have malaria.

On February 12, it was reported that the epidemic threshold for SARS was exceeded in five regions of Ukraine: Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, Khmelnytskyi, and Chernivtsi regions. The increase in the incidence of SARS is caused by the spread of influenza viruses in 22 Ukrainian regions.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, stress affects the human immune system, and the longer we worry, the greater the threat to our health. Nowadays, Ukrainians are in a state of chronic stress and anxiety, which is exhausting and destroys mental and physical health.
