The Ukrainian presidential office confirmed that South African President Cyril Ramaphosa expressed his desire to come to Ukraine as part of a "peace" mission from several African countries. President Volodymyr Zelensky welcomed such an initiative, he is ready to listen to the guests and tell them about the Ukrainian "peace formula".

On May 17, the president's press secretary, Serhiy Nikiforov, said this in a commentary to the Ukrainian media. According to him, the corresponding telephone conversation between Zelensky and Ramaphosa took place on May 13.

"The president of Ukraine welcomed such a peace initiative. Volodymyr Zelensky is ready to receive distinguished guests in Ukraine, listen to their proposals, talk about the Ukrainian 'peace formula' and invite them to join its implementation," Nikiforov said.

As a reminder, on May 16, Ramaphosa announced agreements with Zelensky and Putin on a "peace mission". According to him, both leaders are ready to accept it.
