Zendaya showed a trendy "Olympic" manicure: what makes the design special
The Olympic Games are undoubtedly the main sporting event of the year. The Opening Ceremony has become one of the most colorful and talked about in history. The symbols of the Olympics can be seen everywhere, and the world's celebrities are not far behind the trends.
American actress and singer Zendaya recently showed a trendy manicure in a minimalist design inspired by the Olympics. The details were revealed by Marie Claire.
Olympic nail art is a highlight of the summer season. At the party on July 25 dedicated to the opening ceremony, actress Zendaya appeared in an exquisite black dress with sequins. She complemented the look with natural makeup with an emphasis on the eyes and an elegant pastel manicure.
Earlier, Zendaya presented a maroon manicure, but on the eve of the Olympics, the celebrity returned the trend to a square shape and a delicate shade. Perfectly polished nails in pale pink quickly became the most popular trend of the season.
Famous nail artist Rita Remarque noted that the simple, sophisticated aesthetic is partly the reason why the look was supported by Meghan Markle, Princess Kate, and the entire US gymnastics team.
According to the official rules and policies of Olympic gymnastics, nails should be neutral in color so as not to distract the judges. This is partly why the viral manicure with the Olympic logo of 2020 medalist Sunisa Lee had a white base. The pink and white shade is simple but elegant and extremely similar to the shade on Zendaya's hands.
