Social media is full of cleaning hacks - and there are quick and effective tips that are game-changers. This is especially true if you are constantly spending money on expensive - and sometimes toxic - air fresheners.
A TikTok video posted by cleaning specialist Chantelle Mila shows an incredibly simple trick to freshen up a room.
Take some cotton balls and add some essential oil. Mint, citrus, and floral scents will be the most effective. Since the scents are quite strong, do not soak or oversaturate the cotton.
Then simply throw the scented cotton balls into a dust container and start vacuuming your home. The effect will be instantaneous. This is caused by the warm air passing through the canister, which essentially helps to evaporate the fragrances in the air.
