Brian Moody, executive editor at Kelley Blue Book, recommended the Toyota Corolla, a longtime favorite among budget-conscious buyers. It is a top choice due to its impressive fuel efficiency and reliable performance.

Ford

For decades, Ford has been known as an affordable iconic American brand thanks to its rugged trucks and practical family cars. In 2024, Ford continues to be a top choice for buyers.

There is a stereotype that Ford is a rather expensive brand. In fact, the manufacturer offers a surprising number of high-quality and affordable lower-level cars.

"For example, the Ford Maverick, one of the brand's smaller trucks, offers impressive payload and torque, and comes with a hybrid engine option for improved fuel economy," said Nigel Tunnicliffe, co-founder and CEO of Coastline Academy.

Honda

Honda has long been synonymous with reliability and affordability, and the brand's 2024 lineup will save you money in the long run.

"Honda offers a diverse lineup of cars at a competitive price range. The cars have high safety ratings and good fuel efficiency, which reduces long-term costs," said Tunnicliffe.
