Xiaomi has come up with a new way to charge gadgets: no electricity needed
New living conditions, where people are constantly in a hurry and need to have uninterrupted access to gadgets, provoke the emergence of new technologies. Therefore, electronics manufacturers around the world regularly improve their products and introduce innovative features.
For example, it has recently become known that Xiaomi is working on a new way to charge gadgets. A patent on the new technology appeared on the Chinese information resource Tianyancha.
Xiaomi has registered a patent for the use of solar energy to charge wearable devices, such as smart rings and fitness bracelets. Similar technologies are already being used to recharge various equipment, such as electric cars. However, due to the inability to fit a photocell into the limited size of compact devices, it was not possible to effectively implement such a function in them.
However, Xiaomi has coped with this problem and proposed to use a special light concentrator that will help direct the sun's rays to the panel and optimize the use of alternative energy.
It's worth noting that such solar-powered gadgets will include other hardware as well. You can see the conceptual design below.
Of course, this technology will not significantly reduce power consumption, but it can significantly increase battery life and, in some cases, even make it possible to abandon classic chargers, since small gadgets do not require much power to operate. It should also solve the problem of battery life, which is usually faced by low-power devices with a very small battery.
