World's Most Powerful Passports 2024: Ukraine overtakes Russia by 18 positions, the latter accuses everyone of "Russophobia"
Nomad Passport Index has published a ranking of the world's most powerful passports in 2024. Switzerland took the top spot, followed by Ireland and Portugal, respectively.
The Ukrainian passport was ranked 76th in the ranking, while the Russian passport took 94th place. In this regard, propaganda media and human rights activists from the Russian Federation accused Nomad Passport Index of Russophobia.

The list of the most powerful passports is determined by the number of opportunities for citizens of a state. The criteria include living conditions in the country, tax regime, standard of living and freedoms, the possibility of dual citizenship, and, of course, visa-free travel.
The difference between Ukraine and Russia is 18 positions.
The Russian Federation "lags behind" in terms of democratic rights. In addition, the aggressor country received the lowest score for the standard of living and the perception of citizens abroad. The authors of the rating gave the level of freedom of Russians 2 out of 5.
Nomad Passport Index shared the ranking of the most powerful passports in the world.
Russian citizens were not satisfied with this situation, and local human rights activists, in their typical manner, accused the organization and the whole world of Russophobia. One of them, Maria Arkhipova, claims that the 94th place in the ranking "is directly related to the introduction of collective responsibility for individuals for the activities of the state."

There were also references to the United States: "There is an unspoken rule: Russian citizens, regardless of their views, should bear collective responsibility. As far as I know, this position has been specifically lobbied for by the current US President Joe Biden."
Propagandists accuse the organization of Russophobia.
Arkhipova added that this position is taken by "the most chauvinistic politicians in European countries." According to her, this "unfairly reduces the attractiveness of the Russian passport, which is actually quite highly valued in many respects."
