You can't wash them by simply throwing them in the dishwasher. This is harmful to the wood. You can't clean them manually to the required depth either. TikTok user @kar.hawkinspyles suggested how to deal with soiled wooden utensils.
According to her, you don't need any special tools to thoroughly clean wooden spoons and spatulas. And no tools either. All you need for Carly's method is a large enough pot and clean water.
Boil enough water in a pot. But keep it on low heat; the bubbles in the liquid should not be too active.

However, in the comments, she was told that such boiling can wash out the protective impregnation from wooden utensils, in addition to dirt. It will saturate the wood and protect it from moisture and other substances.
