Without Bukovel and Dragobrat: where to go skiing in other regions of Ukraine

To conquer the snowy slopes, you don't have to go to popular ski resorts. There are many resorts in our country where you can enjoy winter sports. And not for all the money in the world. Today we're talking about places that travelers often avoid, but in vain! So where to go at the beginning of the season – read below.

Krasiya, Zakarpattia region

Located on the mountain of the same name at an altitude of 1036 meters above sea level. It has the longest downhill run in the country, 3.5 kilometers long.

The ski season traditionally starts in December and lasts until early April. If there is not enough natural snow, a modern artificial snowmaking system is used.

The complex has 6 lifts: three chairlifts, two rope tows, and a private multi-lift. They are open from 9:00 to 17:00.

In addition to skiing, you can go snowboarding, sledding, tobogganing, and hiking. By the way, special recreation and entertainment areas have been created for children.

After a busy day on the slopes, tourists can relax in a bathhouse or sauna, or take a dip in an open-air hot tub. Those who prefer a relaxing leisure time can play billiards or table tennis. On weekdays, a ski-pass costs ₴850, and on weekends it costs ₴1000.

Plai, Lviv region

Located in the village of Plai, Skole district, at an altitude of 600 meters above sea level. The ski season starts in late November and lasts until early May. There are cannons that provide constant snow cover. There are trails of different difficulty levels on the territory of the attraction. About 6 ski lifts have been built here: from short ones for children and beginners to the longest ones for experienced skiers. You can also rent equipment or learn to ski with the help of instructors.

Travelers can also go horseback riding, sledding, or snow tubing.

After an active day in Playa, you can go to the billiard room, bowling center, or SPA complex.

A daytime ski-pass will cost about ₴900.

Vodianyky, Cherkasy region

It is located in the village of the same name in Zvenyhorod district.

The complex was opened in 2009. There are 3 trails of different difficulty levels. The shortest one for beginners stretches for 450 meters. A drag lift was also built.

After the green route, we recommend going to the blue route. Its length is 590 meters and there is a slight elevation difference. There is a four-seater chair lift.

For professionals, we recommend choosing the red marked route.

On the territory of the complex you can rent equipment: skis, snowboards, poles, helmets, and clothes. Travelers can also warm up in a bath or vat. A daytime ski-pass from 9:30 to 17:00 will cost about ₴900, from 9:30 to 20:30 – ₴1500. On weekends – ₴1000/₴1700.

Myhovo, Chernivtsi region

The complex is located in the village of Myhove at an altitude of 740 meters above sea level. The ski season starts in December and lasts until mid-April. The resort has built ski lifts with slopes of different difficulty levels. There are also snow cannons that keep the slopes covered with snow.

Tourists can rent equipment and attend a ski school if necessary. Migovo also has a game room with billiards, table tennis, air hockey, and darts.

A daytime ski-pass costs about ₴700 and ₴800 on weekends.

During the peak season from late December to mid-January, it will cost ₴1000.

Sonyachna Dolyna, Chernivtsi region

It is located in the village of Boyany. There is a wide range of trails of different difficulty levels, connected by tunnels for easy transportation. In particular, blue, green for beginners and red for experienced skiers.

To get to the top, there are 4 drag lifts and one chair lift, which allows you to quickly and comfortably get to the beginning of the descent. A modern artificial snowmaking system ensures high quality snow cover.

There is also a medical center and a rescue service.

A daytime ski-pass costs about ₴650 and ₴800 on weekends.
