Fargo

Jerry, who works as an ordinary salesman in his father-in-law's car dealership, is going through hard times. To cope with his financial problems, he tries various schemes and decides to pull off a risky scam: organize the kidnapping of his pregnant wife. The situation gets out of hand. Jerry covers his tracks after the unexpected bloodshed, and meanwhile, detective Marge Gunderson begins to investigate the crime. The film won two Oscars, as well as awards for directing from the British Academy and the Cannes Film Festival.

Whiteout

"Whiteout" is a detective thriller adapted from the comic book of the same name by Gregory "Greg" Rucka and Steve Lieber. Carrie has to investigate a strange murder at a station above the Arctic Circle. She has only three days to catch the first serial killer in the history of Antarctica. The situation is complicated by the approaching polar night. The plot is tied to an incident that allegedly took place 50 years ago at the Soviet Vostok base, from where an airplane with an important cargo took off.

Wind River

Wyoming, USA. The events take place on the Wind River Indian Reservation, among the forests and snowy expanses. Corey Lambert: works as a game warden. He has to catch a cougar that is killing the livestock of the locals. But while wandering in the wilderness, Cory finds not a predator, but the corpse of a teenage girl. FBI agent Jane Benner is convinced that it is a murder. Corey agrees to help with the investigation, but he thinks the girl just got lost and died of cold. Soon it becomes clear that Jane was right, because another body is found on the reservation...

The snowman

This is an adaptation of Yu Nesbøgh's novel about detective Harry Gole. 2004. The most famous detective in Norway, Harry Gole, together with his new colleague Catherine Brett, begins to investigate the disappearance of a woman. It turns out that women disappear too often in Oslo. Gole suspects that the first serial killer in the history of Norway is operating in the city. Each of his crimes has two characteristic features: all the victims are married women, and a snowman always remains at the crime scene...

Murder on the Orient Express

Hercule Poirot is approached by Samuel Ratchett with a request for protection and offers a lot of money. Poirot refuses him. The next morning Ratchett is found dead with twelve stab wounds. Everyone is suspected, and the train itself is trapped in the snow. Poirot realizes that he has never encountered a more interesting story...
