For optimal results, place the toilet roll behind the refrigerator to act as a natural dehumidifier, keeping the space dry and reducing the risk of mold and bacteria.

Change the roll every three weeks or when the paper looks too wet, wrinkled, or darker in tone.

When buying a new package, set aside a few rolls to store in a dry place for the refrigerator and prefer plain, unpatterned paper, as decorated rolls may contain dyes or chemicals that foods should not come into contact with.
