Why older women like younger men: study findings

However, as it turns out, such a trend is becoming increasingly popular in real life as well. American scientists explained that this is influenced by a number of reasons, among them physical attractiveness, emotional maturity and financial freedom of the younger partner.
According to research results, most Americans aged 18 to 34 see a large number of advantages in marriage or relationships with people who are older or younger than them by at least 10 years, writes the Daily Mail. Women experience more confidence and fulfillment around younger men.

Specialists of the international research company Ipsos conducted a scientific survey, which involved 207 American women who had affairs with younger men. It turned out that in such relationships women felt most comfortable, because they did not have to compete with their partner. In addition, they were able to more easily express their desires and needs, because their favorites perceived them as they are.
"Women my age seem to love the 'freshness' and 'lack of bitterness' that comes from being in a relationship with someone younger. Younger men seem more open and less burdened by insecurities," explained one participant.

Plus, the benefits of having an affair with a big age difference are seen by guys, too. According to a Study Finds survey of 200 Americans, most young men prefer older partners because of emotional maturity. They also noticed that they began to mature faster both emotionally and socially.
"I often notice not that older women are much more developed when it comes to relationships, emotional depth and actually expressing feelings. The age difference means I start to take relationships more seriously and develop more," one of the guys revealed.
