Death in a dream

IFLScience has published an explanation of the reasons why a person can die while sleeping. Such death is accompanied by chronic diseases.
According to Milind Sovani, a consultant in respiratory medicine at the University of Nottingham Hospitals, death in a dream is associated with the three most important organs of the human body - the heart, lungs, and brain.
When a person is asleep, he or she cannot quickly respond to signals that something is wrong with the organs.
The heart
Sumit Chaga, director of the Cedars-Sinai Heart Rhythm Center, explained that sudden cardiac arrest is responsible for 90% of unexpected deaths during sleep. This risk group includes people with coronary heart disease, an enlarged heart, or irregular heartbeat.
Airways
Obstructive sleep apnea is a disease caused by the narrowing of muscles in the airways, which leads to a decrease in breathing flow and a lack of oxygen. It increases heart rate and blood pressure, which can lead to death.
Brain
Epilepsy is a chronic brain disease. People experience recurrent attacks of motor, sensory, mental, or psychological functions that occur due to excessive neural discharges. According to research, epilepsy seizures occur most often at night and sleep can increase the risk of this.
Stroke can also be the cause of death in a dream. A blood clot or rupture of blood vessels prevents blood from reaching the brain and cells begin to die.
People with such diseases can reduce the risk of sudden death if they visit a doctor in time , monitor their health, eat right and exercise.
