Concealer, as its name implies, is a cosmetic product that is designed to mask various skin problems. It covers spots, rashes, pimples, etc., and completely hides them from view.

But you need to apply concealer correctly. The main secret was shared by celebrity makeup artist Melissa Murdick on her TikTok. According to her, if you apply the product directly from the tube to pimples or skin lesions, it can be contaminated and rendered unusable.

A pimple is essentially a point of inflammation, and therefore a place of large accumulation of bacteria. If you touch it with a tube of product, you will transfer the bacteria to the product itself and they will start to multiply in it.

In addition, such application leads to the use of too much concealer. This creates an unnatural and unattractive look.

The makeup artist advises applying concealer to the inflamed areas with the help of tools. Start by washing your hands well. Then squeeze a little concealer on the back of your hand. Take a thin makeup brush, pick up the product from this drop, and gently cover the problem area with it. Let the concealer warm up on the skin for 10 seconds.

After that, change the brush to a more voluminous one, synthetic bristles and a conical shape are best. Use the tip of this brush to pat the concealer on the applied concealer to gradually blend it and fill in the skin's relief. Don't forget to disinfect your tools afterward.

Murdik advises using this technique after applying the foundation, not before. Instead of applying powder, which, according to her, can make the image untidy, it is better to fix the makeup with a spray.
