"Whoever doesn't do it is a fool". Usyk speaks about "suicide" after the fight
WBA, WBO, WBC, and IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) denied the information that he suffered a broken jaw during his fight with Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs). According to the Ukrainian boxer, this is complete nonsense and everyone saw that he was talking calmly at the press conference.
Usyk admitted that he had gone to the hospital after the fight, but only to be examined by a doctor. According to Oleksandr, every self-respecting professional athlete should monitor their health.
"After the fight, I had a cut near my eye, my face hurt, my back hurt, my legs hurt, my fists hurt. I was injured. Tyson had the same thing. We checked his head, we looked at his brain. The doctor said: "Everything is fine." Listen, this is discipline. Anyone who doesn't go to a professional doctor after a fight is a fool. Many people go to a bar or restaurant after a fight and have a drink. You have 12 rounds, 47 minutes, you get a huge number of blows. If you don't go to the doctor afterward, it's suicide," Usyk said in an interview with Boxing King Media's YouTube channel.
We would like to remind you that Fury and Usyk will rematch on December 21. The fantastic prize money for the second fight is already known. A few weeks ago, our compatriot gave up the International Boxing Federation (IBF) belt and lost the title of absolute world champion.
