And safety ratings are not the only thing that the authors of the list took into account when compiling it. They also paid attention to additional features such as entertainment systems and passenger comfort.

Ford Everest

Not only does the Everest have an excellent safety record, proven in numerous tests, but it also impresses with its technical features. Front passengers can choose between 10- to 12-inch color touchscreens, depending on the trim level. While the Trend variant lacks many of the amenities for second- and third-row passengers, the Sport and higher trims offer additional USB ports, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a panoramic sunroof exclusive to Titanium models. Nevertheless, the Everest is a great all-rounder, even in its base configuration. Combined with its impressive safety rating, Ford's seven-seater SUV stands out from the competition.

Mitsubishi XForce

The Mitsubishi XForce, a slightly smaller subcompact crossover, performed equally well in the tests. Its safety features are impressive. And amenities include two USB chargers for the front and second row, a center cooling box, an eight-speaker Yamaha sound system, and an eight-inch screen infotainment system. The GT variant adds advanced driver assistance, safety curtains, and ambient lighting to keep your little passengers entertained.

Nissan Terra

The Terra marked Nissan's entry into the midsize SUV market. It was built with the slightest nuances of safety for all passengers in every part of the cabin in mind. However, some users note that the model lacks child seat anchorages and seat belts in the second and third rows. However, when it comes to rear passenger entertainment, the Nissan Terra is up to the task with its 11-inch rear flip-up monitor that keeps children and passengers distracted on long trips. Nevertheless, the main purpose of the car is reflected in its comfort. Don't expect the model to provide your child with all the entertainment in the world. The modern D-MAX comes with a 10.1-inch infotainment screen and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wireless connectivity technologies. Depending on the variant, you can get six or eight speakers scattered throughout the truck.

Mitsubishi Triton

The Mitsubishi Triton, formerly known as the Strada, has a new platform, a stronger chassis, and a new engine, making the latest generation even more powerful when it comes to hauling, as well as very safe. In terms of amenities, the Triton offers what you would expect from a modern double-cab pickup. GLX models and above come with a choice of an eight-inch or nine-inch infotainment system, both with six speakers as standard. Rear passengers get two USB ports. Despite some compromises in interior comfort, the Triton is a powerful truck that can easily transport things and at the same time be a safe vehicle for the whole family.
