The main winter competition starts on November 25

The Biathlon World Cup starts on Saturday, November 25. Stage 1 of the most prestigious winter tournament on the planet will take place in the Swedish city of Östersund. The stage will include six disciplines: single mixed relay (supermix), mixed relay, classic relay, as well as an individual race, sprint, and pursuit.

The composition of the women's national team of Ukraine: Iryna Petrenko, Khrystyna Dmytrenko, Anastasiia Merkushyna, Hanna Kryvonos, Dariia Blashko, and Liubov Kypiachenkova.

The composition of the men's national team of Ukraine: Anton Dudchenko, Artem Pryma, Bohdan Tsymbal, Denys Nasyko, Taras Lesyuk, and Artem Tyshchenko.

Östersund is the fifth-largest city in Sweden, located on the shores of Lake Storsjön. The Swedish national biathlon arena is situated on a hillside with the Arcturus Tower. Just 2 km from the biathlon arena is the city center with small shops, restaurants, and traditional Swedish bakeries.

In Ukraine, all races are shown live on theSuspilne Sport website, as well as on regional Suspilne TV channels (Suspilne Kyiv, Suspilne Sumy, etc.).

In addition, the official IBU website broadcasts the race for free.

Eurosport also shows the races live. But here you will have to pay 4.99 euros for a monthly subscription to watch the biathlon.

As OBOZ.UA reported, last season was a failure for the Ukrainian national team. For the first time in 30 years, Ukrainian biathletes failed to win a single medal. In 2021, our team won one bronze medal, and the last time Ukraine won gold was in the 2018/19 season.
