A good vacation is not necessarily an adventurous trip to a place where a lot of people are going to have fun. Many of us choose a secluded and relaxing vacation that helps us recover from intense work.
And one of the countries in the world offers its guests exactly such conditions. There are few places where you can meet crowds of tourists and enjoy the tranquility. According to the Express, the BookRetreats global relaxation index analyzed 76 tourist destinations around the world and named Australia as a perfect place for solitude.
The population density here is only 3.4 people per square kilometer. For comparison: in Italy, this figure is 198.3 people, and in Mauritius - 626 people.
This vast country has an incredible amount to offer tourists: from gorgeous beaches to otherworldly deserts and bustling cities, among other things. As it is located in the southern hemisphere, Australia also offers great summer conditions in the months when winter reigns in Europe.
There is a lot of unspoiled nature here. Protected areas cover a little more than a third of Australia's land area. In total, 704 national parks are scattered across the country. From the ancient Daintree rainforest to the red deserts of the Uluru and the lush blue waters of the Great Barrier Reef, Australia is rich in natural beauty.
The Great Barrier Reef is one of the official seven natural wonders of the world. Tourists can admire the incredible underwater coral gardens here. However, do not forget about safety rules, as this area is under protection.
If you're a beach vacationer, Australia boasts some of the best beaches in the world. The incredible Whitsunday Islands offer the luxurious Whitehaven, a stunning beach with white sand and crystal clear water. According to Lonely Planet, it was recognized as the best in the world.
The beach boasts sand that is 98% silicon, which means it is whiter and softer than most beaches in the world. Whitehaven stretches for seven kilometers, so you won't have to fight for a spot by the water.
The only drawback of Australia is its remoteness. A flight to this earthly paradise will be very expensive.
