Where to ski in Ukraine besides Carpathians: a list of unusual locations

"Protasiv Yar"

The first ski location in the capital. It was opened in 1998.

It is the Olympic training base for Ukrainian national teams. It often hosts national and international competitions.

"Hvozdiv"

Located in the village of the same name, 20 kilometers from the capital. The location was opened in 2016.

It has 3 trails: for beginners and experienced skiers. There are also 2 lifts: a drag lift and a multi-lift.

The resort has special areas for snowboarders and sledders, a slide for kids, a ski jump, and a skating rink.

Beginners can take several lessons from a personal instructor and rent equipment.

There is an artificial snowmaking system.

Odesa

"Berezivka"

The complex is located 90 kilometers from the city.

There are 3 slopes: blue, red, and black. About 12 snow cannons provide reliable coverage of the slopes. There are 2 drag lifts on the territory that take skiers to the top.

Poltava

"Skipens"

It is located in the city center near the Poltava National Technical University.

The ski resort has 1 green run and 1 drag lift. Travelers can rent equipment and learn to ski with a professional instructor.

The facility is located near Dykanka, 14 kilometers from Poltava. The complex was opened in 2012 and equipped with European technologies.

By the way, tourists can ski not only during the day, but also in the evening - from 18:00 to 21:00.

"Korchak"

A ski base for beginners and those who have already mastered winter sports. There are 3 trails of different difficulty levels: red, blue, and green. There is also 1 drag lift on the territory. Travelers can rent equipment and repair it if necessary.

Cherkasy

"Vodianyky"

Located in the Zvenyhorod district of Cherkasy region, 130 kilometers from the city. The ski resort was opened in 2009.

It has a green slope for beginners, a blue slope for experienced skiers, and a red slope for athletes and experts. Tourists can get to the top of the mountain by rope tow and chairlift.

There is also a snow tubing and snowboard park.

Tourists can visit the bathhouse and stay in the hotel complex at the top.
