Where to relax by the water in Kirovograd region: we reveal the best locations

It is not always possible to get out to the sea. But that doesn't mean you have to stay at home. After all, every region of Ukraine has places where you can sunbathe and swim. And Kirovograd region is no exception. So where to spend your leisure time - we tell you below.

Katerynivka Beach

Located on the edge of Kropyvnytskyi on the territory of a former quarry. During the summer season, locals and residents from neighboring settlements come here. There are gazebos, a bar with a summer terrace, and a playground on the coast. You can also rent catamarans and kayaks here.

By the way, Katerynivka Pond is just 3 kilometers away, where you can also swim and sunbathe. However, the area is not equipped, so you will have to take an umbrella and a mat with you.

Guests of the city are advised to visit the first Ukrainian professional theater named after Marko Kropyvnytskyi. It is located at 4 Teatralna Street. The building was built in 1867. At first glance, it seems to be well preserved, and its appearance has hardly changed. But in fact, it has already undergone 11 reconstructions.

Initially, the main cast included theater worker Mariia Zankovetska, playwright Ivan Karpenko-Kary, and actor Mykola Sadovskyi. They performed the play Natalka-Poltavka for the opening.

Also visit the monument to the first tram, which started running in 1897. Take a walk along Dvortsova Street, the only pedestrianized street in Kropyvnytskyi. Pompous houses line the street. Stop by the library, the former Versailles Hotel, and the SBU building.

Also, be sure to visit the reserve-museum "Khutir Nadiya". Here, in the open air, there is a manor house where the family of the famous writer Ivan Karpenko-Kary once lived. Blue lakes

Not as famous as the Cherkasy ones, but no less beautiful. They are located near the village of Vilne, in the Kropyvnytskyi district. The coastal area here is equipped with benches, tables, gazebos and changing rooms. They also made an area with swings for children. There are also catamaran rentals, a parking lot, a bathhouse, and a volleyball court. In general, there are all conditions for a comfortable stay. It is not surprising that people often come here with tents. By the way, you can get to the location not only by car but also by train. The Pavlivka railway station is a 30-minute walk from the Blue Lakes.

By the way, 16 kilometers away from Vіlne, in the town of Svitlovodsk, there is a yacht club on the banks of the Dnipro River. Here, tourists can rent a yacht or go sailing. The nearest supermarkets and restaurants are located here.

Beach of the recreation center "Scythia"

The complex is located on a large territory near the Black Tashlyk River in the village of Zakharivka. It has luxurious swimming pools with various slides, a playground and cozy walkways. There is also an area with sun loungers and umbrellas, as well as catamarans, kayaks, and sap boards for rent. There are also lifeguards who take care of the safety of vacationers.

There are specially designated areas for fishing enthusiasts. The reservoir is home to carp, white amur, silver carp, catfish, sturgeon, pike, etc. By the way, a corner with birds and animals was created for the youngest ones at the base. Goats, pheasants, ducks, chickens, and nutria are kept here.

We advise you to try apitherapy, the so-called beehive relaxation. Just 120 minutes on a bee bed has the same effect as 8 hours of nightly sleep. This type of relaxation can be practiced daily. Salty Lake

It is located near the village of Veselivka, Bobrynets district. The artificial reservoir was created after the construction of a dam on the Ingul River. It got its name due to the high salt content in the water.

The unique natural object is famous for its balneological properties. Its bottom is covered with a thick layer of healing blue clay, which is effective in treating diseases of the musculoskeletal system and skin. Reeds grow around the beach, so for the convenience of travelers, there are slopes.

City beach in Hai Voron

A popular place for recreation for residents and visitors. It is located on Plyazhna Street, on the banks of the Southern Bug. Every year divers clean the bottom of the reservoir. This year, the specialists cleaned 127 meters of the coastline.

A special area for safe swimming has been set up. There are also areas where you can spread a mat or set up a tent. If you forget to take a snack, don't worry, there is a restaurant on the coast. By the way, there are no water activities here. So bring your own inflatable circles and mattresses.
