After the great success of the first season of the post-apocalyptic series "The Last of Us," viewers are eagerly awaiting the sequel. The long-awaited second season will debut on April 13, 2025, on HBO and Max. In Ukraine, the series will be available with Ukrainian dubbing on Megogo starting April 14.

In the new season, events unfold after a five-year time jump, when Joel and Ellie face new challenges in a world engulfed by a fungal infection. The story is based on the video game "The Last of Us: Part II," which allows for a deeper dive into the story and character development, Variety reports.

New talented performers have joined the main cast. Caitlin Dever will play Abby, Isabela Merced will play Dina, Young Masino will play Jesse, and Tati Gabriel will play Nora. Geoffrey Wright will return to the role of Isaac, the leader of the Liberation Washington faction.

Showrunners Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann, who worked on the first part, once again promise exciting and emotionally charged episodes. Mazin noted that each of the seven episodes will be "high-calorie," offering viewers a deep dive into the story.

The first season of the series has received positive reviews from critics and viewers, raising expectations for the sequel. Due to the high quality of production and deep characters, The Last of Us has become one of the most talked about series of recent years.
