When is St. Mykhailo's Day celebrated according to the new calendar
Previously, the Feast of the Archangel Mykhailo was celebrated on November 21. According to the new calendar, this holiday falls on November 8. Accordingly, the name day of people named after the saint has also changed.

In Christian culture, angels are messengers of God. Archangels, created by God for special spiritual activities, are meant to protect people and convey important messages.
Archangel Mykhailo is called the patron saint of the human race and the leader of the heavenly host. According to biblical events, Mykhailo cast down all the fallen spirits from heaven and stood before the Israelites who fled Egypt with a pillar of fire.
Mykhailo is also known as a prophet; he appeared repeatedly with prophecies about significant events.
It was Mykhailo who gathered the heavenly army and waged war against Lucifer. Satan was overthrown, and Archangel Mykhailo continues to fight for the glory of the Lord.
Traditions of the holiday
On this day, believers usually attend church and pray for the health of their relatives. It was a tradition to set a festive table at home and invite guests. According to folk beliefs, the more people come to the house, the more prosperous the year will be.
As with all church holidays, it is forbidden to engage in physical labor, work in the garden, do needlework, or clean on St. Mykhailo's Day.
Typically, on St. Mykhailo's Day, people try to dedicate themselves to charity and help those in need.

Mykhailo is asked for not only prosperity and health but also for protection, especially for soldiers.
