What to do with protein containers: interesting ideas for the home
If you're working on your fitness routine or increasing your protein intake, you probably have a stockpile of large empty protein powder containers that you don't know what to do with. Before you throw them away, why not give them a chance at a second life by repurposing them into a functional attribute for the home.
Repurposing common household items not only increases their usefulness but can also significantly reduce waste. The decision to become more eco-friendly can start even with such small things, experts say.
Table lamp
Turn a protein powder container into a table lamp that is both useful and beautiful. Hot glue any decor that is appropriate for your decor. For the base of the lamp, place a tall candle holder inside the container and then place the plafond on top. Attach wireless LED lights to the inside of the plafond.
Container for coffee or dry foods
Whether you like coffee in capsules, ground, or just beans, you can add personalization and sophistication to your kitchen décor by storing your coffee in an airtight homemade bag made from a protein powder container. You can also use it to store any dry food such as flour, rice, or pasta. The container can be creatively decorated with either a simple label or a more intricate design, adding aesthetic appeal to your home.
Decorative cachepot
Drill a few drainage holes in the bottom of an old container, cut off the top, and then fill it with soil. The cachepot will be suitable for herbs, flowers, small vegetables, or other plants. A lid can be placed under the container to keep the water level stable.
Organizer for craft items
Empty containers can be a lifesaver for storing leftover fabric, yarn, buttons, or brushes. If you have kids, make them great organizers to keep their school things more organized. Labeling the containers will also make it easier to quickly find what you need.
Organizer for children's toys
Doll accessories, Lego, figurines, or toy cars can be placed in an empty container. Invite children to be creative and decorate the containers with stickers or paint.
Holiday lanterns
If your protein powder container is translucent red, you're halfway to creating a colorful holiday lantern. Using your imagination and a white paint pen writing on plastic, draw your favorite winter picture on the container. Then use a hot glue gun to attach the battery compartment to the underside of the lid.
