Macarius was one of the first hermits to found monasteries in Egypt. His teachings and example became the basis for the development of Christian monasticism. Macarius the Great left a rich spiritual heritage - his works contain deep reflections on life, faith and repentance.

World Snow Day is an annual holiday dedicated to winter sports and outdoor activities. It is celebrated on the third Sunday of January. It was initiated by the International Ski Federation (FIS). The main goal is to popularize winter sports among young people and encourage them to take up an active lifestyle.
