There are several variants of triangle symbols, each with its specific meaning:
- An empty triangle – you can bleach this garment without any problems;
- Crossed triangle or black triangle – in no case should the item be bleached;
- A triangle with two diagonal lines or a triangle with the abbreviation CL and a cross on top – only chlorine-free bleach can be used;
- A triangle with the abbreviation CL – chlorine bleach can be used.
Improper use of bleaches can cause significant damage to the fabric, discoloration, or even destruction of the product. Bleaches can be quite aggressive, especially those containing chlorine, so not every fabric can withstand their effects. Therefore, before washing, be sure to read the instructions on the labels and follow them.
