Autoblog decided to tell you about three of the world's most expensive cars, the price tag for which can shock the average person. Only a few people can really afford such a luxury. But these are truly exclusive cars.

Bugatti La Voiture Noire

Approximate price: 18.7 million dollars

Introduced in 2019, the Bugatti La Voiture Noire is a unique custom-built car. It was developed in honor of the fourth Type 57 SC Atlantic for Bugatti's 110th anniversary and is one of the rarest and most expensive cars in history. The name of the model translates to "black car" and its carbon fiber body is indeed painted exclusively in deep black.

Every component of this car is handmade. La Voiture Noire is powered by an 8.0-liter four-turbo W16 engine that produces a whopping 1479 horsepower and 1600 Nm of torque. This allows the car to provide stunning acceleration and high performance. It has an estimated top speed of over 420 km/h and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.4 seconds

Although mechanically similar to the Chiron, La Voiture Noire puts the comfort of a great journey ahead of straightforward speed records. Its six centrally mounted tailpipes are a tribute to the legendary Type 57 and visually further enhance its aggressive aesthetic. The extended wheelbase and handcrafted details emphasize the model's luxury status.

The front features Bugatti's signature horseshoe grille seamlessly integrated into the elongated La Voiture Noire nose, while the headlights stretch along the wings, adding to the model's futuristic appeal. The rear end is dominated by a full-length LED taillight strip and the aforementioned six-pipe tailpipe arrangement. We don't know much about the interior, but given Bugatti's standards, it is likely to be of the highest level of craftsmanship. The owner's identity remains unknown, although there is speculation that it belongs to Ferdinand Piech, the former chairman of the Volkswagen Group.

Rolls-Royce Boat Tail

The inspiration for the Rolls-Royce Boat Tail came from the legendary 1932 model, which was designed with the J-class luxury yachts of the 1920s in mind. The modern Boat Tail marks the automaker's return to body customization. In 2018, three similar but not identical cars were released. All three have a chassis and a 563-horsepower twin-turbocharged V12 engine from the Rolls-Royce Phantom. They reach a top speed of about 250 kilometers per hour and can accelerate from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in about 5 seconds.

Each model is made up of more than 1800 specially manufactured parts and is equipped with a retractable umbrella, cocktail tables with matching seats, a full set of Christofle cutlery, and two refrigerators. However, you won't be able to buy such a luxury anymore. Apparently, all three cars have already found their owners. The first Boat Tail is said to belong to Jay-Z and Beyoncé, and although they have not confirmed this, there are several hints that indicate that this is the case. It's a blue car that came with a pair of Bovet Fleurier watches – one for men and one for women – and Armand de Brignac champagne in the fridge.

The second Boat Tail was commissioned by the son of an anonymous pearl mining magnate for his father. It has a pearl exterior and an accented pearl interior. As with the blue Boat Tail, its trunk opens through the center hatches, revealing walnut wood trim and a picnic set with an umbrella. The third Boat Tail was purchased by an anonymous owner, but details have not yet been disclosed.

Rolls-Royce La Rose Noire Droptail

Rolls-Royce La Rose Noire Droptail is the most expensive new car. It was inspired by the Black Baccara rose, and the design was very important to the couple who ordered it. They also had a hand in the creation of this car, but wished to remain anonymous.

This masterpiece debuted in 2023 as the first of four Droptails ordered by Droptail. Its parquet finish, a staple of many Rolls-Royce designs, is the most complex for the automaker to date. It is assembled from more than 1,600 hand-crafted and hand-placed wooden parts. The manufacturing process took two years.

Made of steel, aluminum, and carbon fiber, the Droptail is painted in the newly developed True Love Red color with dark accents of the companion shade Mystery. This reflects the visual richness of the velvety petals of the Baccara rose. The coloring process took place in 150 stages. A complex technique of applying transparent varnishes was used to create a pearlescent shimmer. The front grille is decorated with hand-painted accents, and the car has stunning 22-inch alloy wheels painted in Mystery color.

The interior of La Rose Noire Droptail is made of French Black Sycamore wood, which forms an abstract pattern of rose petals in flight. The interior also features a combination of the aforementioned colors in the leather, adding a textured pearlescent finish. According to the automaker, it took the craftsman a week of work in silence to create this masterpiece.
