Vilnius, Lithuania

The largest city and one of the most beautiful in the country. The most famous landmarks are located here - the Upper and Lower Castles. There is also a distinctive neighborhood known as the "Republic of Užupis". It has its own constitution, anthem, bishop, and even president. Its symbol is a bronze sculpture of an angel.

There are many observation decks here. By the way, one 165-meter-high TV tower houses the Milky Way restaurant. You won't believe it, but the floor of the restaurant makes a complete revolution in 55 minutes. This way you can see a panoramic view.

Riga, Latvia

Here you should explore the majestic Riga Cathedral, the famous Dome Gate and picturesque neighborhoods. Also, take a walk along the streets of Alberta iela and Elizabetes iela. Admire the graceful facades decorated with wrought iron, stained glass and sculptures.

You can also walk along the Daugava River embankment and take a boat ride.

The best time to visit is in spring or summer.

Krakow, Poland

The city is located on the banks of the Vistula River. More than 1200 monuments of different architectural styles are concentrated here - from the Middle Ages to the modern times.

The Market Square is one of the largest in Europe. Its condition and appearance have not changed since 1257. Here you can see the Town Hall, St. Mary's Basilica, and Cloth Rows. By the way, you can have dinner or lunch here in a restaurant or pub accompanied by street musicians. This is a favorite place for tourists.

Be sure to visit Kazimierz, a former Jewish neighborhood. There are as many as 7 synagogues here. Two of them are working now.

Also go to the Auschwitz concentration camp. The memorial complex contains memorial messages in 20 languages.

Vienna, Austria

And in Belvedere, you can feel like a part of the royal family. The amazing landscapes and architecture will make a great photo op.

Brussels, Belgium

You won't believe it, but the biggest celebrity in the city and the whole kingdom is a statue of a peeing boy. Today it has 650 costumes from different countries.

For influential people it is a place for official events, for tourists it is just another museum. In the mirror room of the royal castle, the ceiling is decorated with scarab beetle wings. And in the imperial living room there are 11 golden pots with flowers in them. They symbolize the country's provinces.

An interesting fact: The King's House has changed its purpose several times. At one time it housed a bakery warehouse, a prison, a tax office, and the residence of the Dukes of Brabant.

Berlin, Germany

The Brandenburg Gate is the capital's hallmark. They are the most commonly seen in photos. And, of course, the open-air gallery on the East Side. After the wall fell, more than 100 artists gathered here at once. They painted pictures dedicated to peace and love.
