"We will not change for sure": the Russian Olympic champion said that Russians should re-educate Europeans
Olympic champion Maxim Khramtsov has made vile remarks about the people of Europe. In the best traditions of Russian chauvinism, the Moscow-based taekwondo fighter said that Europeans need to be changed because they do not want to get along with representatives of the Russian Federation.
Khramtsov, 27, expressed this opinion in an interview with the propaganda news agency TASS. The winner of the Tokyo 2020 Games, who has pledged allegiance to Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin, added that Russians have no intention of changing their worldview.
"You can say a lot to them, but I don't know, I'm still quite young, I don't have experience with Europeans. Our Russian mentality, I understand, is completely different, Europeans have different concepts. I know that they will not understand me - we have different worldviews. Unfortunately, I am sure that we will never be able to find common ground with them - one of us must change radically, but we will definitely not do that. So we will change them and do it together," Khramtsov said.
Before the 2024 Olympics, the taekwondo player called it a betrayal to not support the Kremlin leader and bent over backwards for him. After Khramtsov was not allowed to participate in the Games in Paris, he was outraged, saying "they stole my dream just because I am Russian."
In 2022, the athlete recorded a video congratulating Putin on his 70th birthday. It was accompanied by a written message in which the 2020 Olympic champion used the letter Z three times.
As OBOZ.UA previously reported, Maxim Khramtsov was outraged by the insults from Ukrainians after Russia attacked our country.
