"We remember our history": Klychko congratulates Kyiv residents on the City Day and shows the transformation of the capital. Video
Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klychko congratulated Kyiv residents on Kyiv Day and posted a video on his social media showing the monuments symbolic of our city that have been unveiled in recent years. He emphasized that Kyiv residents remember their history and immortalize it, including in monuments.
Among them are the monuments to Ilya Muromets, Ihor Sikorsky, and Archangel Michael. And also, the Kyivites' favorites, the kids (Kiy, Shchek, Khoriv, and Lybid, the founders of Kyiv) on Poshtova Square. And the largest flag of Ukraine installed on the hills of the city.
"Kyiv is ancient and modern. We remember our history and try to immortalize it. In recent years, we have unveiled many monuments in the capital, both dedicated to prominent figures of Ukraine and symbolic of our city. We have also renovated the monument to the founders of Kyiv and installed the largest flagpole on which the national flag of Ukraine always flies. I congratulate everyone on the birthday of our beloved city! Together we are making it even more beautiful!" Vitaliy Klychko emphasized in the video.
