"We don't need him": former Ukraine coach vividly describes working with Mudryk

Former goalkeeper of Kherson's Crystal and Oleksandriia's Polyhraftekhnika Vyacheslav Bohodielov, who is now involved in the education of young footballers, spoke frankly about Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk. While working in the youth national team of Ukraine, the specialist was unpleasantly surprised by the midfielder's selfishness.

Bohodielov said this in an interview with Ukrainian Football, recalling his cooperation in the national team, where he was a goalkeeping coach, with the legendary Oleg Kuznetsov. The Dynamo assistant noted that Mudryk was constantly pulling the blanket over himself and earning unnecessary penalties.

"Mudryk would grab the ball in the center of the field and start drawing his patterns until someone would foul him. We would get a free kick in the center, which we didn't really need. Kuznetsov felt that Mudryk was a good footballer, but I didn't think he would play in such a club. Everyone said: "Misha, play in front of the penalty area, we need penalties there." But he's stubborn and does his own thing," Bohodielov shared his opinion of young Mudryk.

Earlier, the former Aston Villa player Gabriel Agbonlahor complained that Mudryk has no football intelligence, and on the field, he is just running with the ball. It is worth noting that in 42 matches with Chelsea, the Ukrainian scored four goals and provided five assists.
