Chykalivka granite quarry, Chykalivka village

The reservoir is famous for its interesting appearance. From a bird's eye view, it looks like a heart. Most often, rock climbing enthusiasts come here. The climbing community here has arranged more than 50 routes of varying difficulty. It is very easy to find them. They are reached by forest paths that are trodden around the quarry.

Here, tourists can swim, go for a kayaking or SUP-boarding trip, meditate on the shore, or set up a campsite.

It is very convenient to get here. If you have your own car, take the E584/M22 highway. Buses also go here. First, take a flight to Kremenchuk, and from there take a suburban bus #222. It delivers passengers to a specially equipped bus stop located near the location.

By the way, the nearest store is located in the neighboring village of Kamiani Potoky. Therefore, we advise you to take care of the necessary set of products in advance: drinking water, vegetables, canned food, etc.

The Blue Lakes are located 40 kilometers from Poltava. You can get here by your own transport. Take the E584/M22/H12 highway. You can also take a bus. Get off near the village of Kuntseve, and then walk on foot. Tourist signs lead to the reservoir from here.

Mount Pyvykha, near the village of Maksymivka

The location is located on the shore of the Kremenchuk Reservoir and is the highest point on the Left Bank of Ukraine.

According to legend, an ancient settlement belonging to the noble Pyvam family once flourished on the site of modern Pyvykha. Later, in 1489, Polish King Casimir IV donated the land to the Kyiv Pustynno-Mykilskyi Monastery. The monks who settled here in the 16th century founded a fortress and a religious building. The buildings became an important defense point and a safe haven for Ukrainians during the liberation uprisings.

By the way, in 2008, the mountain represented Poltava region at the All-Ukrainian competition "7 Wonders of Ukraine".

There is a beach with a gentle entrance to the water on the slope of Pyvykha. There are no food outlets on its territory. The nearest restaurant is 2.5 kilometers away. There is also no other infrastructure here. So bring umbrellas, mats, water and snacks.

It will take about 2.5 hours to get there from Poltava by car. Take the E584/M22 highway. Buses also run from the bus station No. 1. Get off at the turn to Maksymivka.

Public municipal beach, Myrhorod

Located on the bank of the Khorol River, at 86 Shyshatska Street. At the beginning of the season, the bottom is examined and the water is tested every year. In the central part of the coast, there is a place for recreation with sunbeds and umbrellas. There is also a seasonal rescue post. You can also rent a boat and a catamaran for a boat trip.

If you're in town, be sure to visit the local ceramics museum, which houses porcelain products from France, China, Japan, Italy, and other countries. And be sure to taste Myrhorodska, which has been produced here since 1927. The taste of water from the source is very different from bottled water. The mineral water has a positive effect on the body and removes various toxins from it: from natural decay products to chemical poisons.
