VW Gewürz ketchup was introduced in 1996. Interestingly, like any Volkswagen part, it has its own catalog number - 00010 ZDK-259-101. The company ran a promotional campaign giving away bottles of ketchup in the United States - in fact, the home market for the Jetta.
