VW Gewürz ketchup was introduced in 1996. Interestingly, like any Volkswagen part, it has its own catalog number - 00010 ZDK-259-101. The company ran a promotional campaign giving away bottles of ketchup in the United States - in fact, the home market for the Jetta.

As part of the campaign, the sedan was presented in a rich red color and a tail of juicy fruit was added to the roof. In fact, the car was turned into a tomato. It turned out to be unusual.

During the restyling Jetta received new bumpers, front headlights and taillights. Changed the palette of body paint colors, added variants of design of wheel rims.
