American boxer Clarissa Shields (16-0, 3 KOs) made history by becoming the first absolute world heavyweight champion. In the main fight of the evening at the Dort Financial Center in Flint (USA), she defeated her compatriot Danielle Perkins (5-1, 2 KOs), knocking her out in the final round.

For 29-year-old Shields, this is her fourth absolute championship and the third weight class in which she has collected all the major titles. Before her in the four-belt era, only Terence Crawford, Naoya Inoue, Oleksandr Usyk and Katie Taylor have claimed this.

Perkins, having a significant size advantage, tried to act aggressively, but was inferior to her opponent in speed and technique.

From the 3rd round, Shields began to dominate confidently, periodically pressing Perkins to the ropes. In the same round, Daniella suddenly found herself on the floor after a series of punches.

Toward the end of the fight, the fight lost its entertainment value: the number of clinches increased, and Perkins made her last attempts to turn the tide. However, in the last seconds of the final round, Shields knocked her out with a beautiful cross.

The judges unanimously gave the victory to Shields: 100-89, 97-92, and 99-90.

On social media, Clarissa is called "Usyk in a skirt" for her outstanding achievements and fighting style. Like the Ukrainian, she has excellent footwork, high speed, and the ability to dismantle larger opponents through technique.

Earlier, a video of Shields being knocked out in a sparring match by Lithuanian boxer Arturs Akhmetovs went viral. The episode took place back in 2018, but Akhmetovs, who retired several years ago, posted the video only 5 years later.
