Usyk, having defeated Fury, has decided on his next opponent. Video
After his second victory over Tyson Fury, Oleksandr Usyk said he was ready to fight Daniel Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs). The IBF world champion came to the ring after the Usyk vs. Fury 2 fight and announced his desire for a rematch.
Du Bois noted that he has not forgotten his defeat and wants to regain his titles.
"I want to avenge the past robbery. Let's do it," said the 27-year-old British boxer.
Vusyk wasted no time in accepting the challenge. The Ukrainian turned to Turki Al-Ash-Sheikh and offered to organize the fight: "No problem. Mr. Turki, please make me a fight with Daniel Dubois. Thank you very much".
Daniel Dubois and Oleksandr Usyk have already met in the ring in August 2023. Back then, Usyk defeated Dubois by knockout in the ninth round, despite a sneaky kick from the British heavyweight between the legs.
On November 1, Usyk's manager Egis Klimas, speaking about the Ukrainian super heavyweight's plans, confirmed his desire to rematch Daniel.
On September 22, Du Bois suffered a sensational defeat to former titleholder Anthony Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs). The fight for the belt previously held by Usyk ended in a knockout in the fifth round.
