"Sticky Bandits in Rivne" – this is how its authors, photo-videographers Kateryna Mosiychuk and Diana Savluk, described their short film. The video is a parody of the well-known Christmas movie Home Alone.
"Home Alone" in Rivne appeared on Diana Savluk's Tiktok and received a flurry of praise from social media users. In particular, the author also shared what was happening behind the scenes.
"Be careful, sticky bandits are in Rivne. But Gary and Marvy have never succeeded in realizing their plans, because we know that good always triumphs over evil! We believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who fight evil every day and do not allow us to spoil Christmas," the video was described on Instagram.
The video was filmed on the streets of Rivne, so many puzzled looks from the locals were captured in the backstage footage.
"To be honest, we didn't notice people's reactions during the filming only because we were so focused on the process, but our team members were good at catching the looks of Rivne residents and in the backstage video we saw how people were looking at what was happening. Even in the movie itself, there is a moment when a man was looking at the actors in confusion, not understanding what was happening," the authors shared in an interview with Rivne-1.
The comments to the video are full of enthusiasm. A lot of people ask for a sequel, for which the authors have already started creating a script.
