A car with a member of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army was blown up near Odesa
A car carrying members of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army, Albert Kruchynyn and Natalia Kruchynyna, exploded near Odesa. The incident occurred in the evening of February 19 in the village of Hvardiiske.
This was reported on the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army. It is noted that doctors are fighting for the lives of the two volunteers.
"Tonight, near one of the military facilities in the suburbs of Odesa, a car of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army was blown up, in which were our brother and sister-in-law, Albert Kruchynyn and Natalia Kruchynyna. Right now, doctors are fighting for their lives. The police are working at the scene," the statement said.
The UVA also published photos of volunteers who were injured in the explosion.
The incident in the UVA is regarded as a terrorist act committed by a hostile subversive group. It is noted that the internal security units of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army have already received urgent instructions.
"We call on all possible eyewitnesses to the crime, as well as persons who know any information about its customers and perpetrators, to contact the UVA command. We guarantee anonymity and a reward of $10,000 for information that will help detain or eliminate the evemy," the UVA emphasized.
The Main Department of the National Police in the Odesa region reported that investigators had opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 15, paragraphs 1 and 5 of Part 2 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code (attempted premeditated murder committed in a manner dangerous to the lives of many people). The sanction of the article provides for ten to fifteen years in prison or life imprisonment.
Firefighters, investigative teams of the Investigation Department of the Main Department of the National Police in the Odesa region and the territorial police unit, as well as specialists of the explosive department of the regional police worked at the scene.
