"Ukrainian Holland": the best parks throughout the country where you can admire the blooming of flowers

Finally, everything is in full bloom and you can walk for hours along the lanes and alleys, enjoying the beautiful nature and equally beautiful weather. Tulips, daffodils, crocuses... What else do you need to feel the atmosphere of spring? Read on to find out where the largest flower fields are located in our country.

Mamaivtsi, Chernivtsi region

The flower meadow appeared here in 2005 on the initiative of Oleksandr Starichuk. The businessman had worked in the Netherlands for 8 years and spied an idea there that he implemented at home.

Initially, the field covered 1 hectare, and 70 varieties of Dutch tulips took root there. Over time, it expanded three times. The number of flower species also increased. Now there are more than 170 of them. By the way, 80% of them do not grow anywhere else in the country.

The plants are planted in a special way to create patterns. Flowering begins in late April and early May. For your convenience, there are photo zones, playgrounds, green pools, souvenir shops, swings, and food and drink stalls. You can also buy bulbs and plant one at home.

Arboretum in Kropyvnytskyi

It is said that the founders of this park, a young couple in love, were walking here on the eve of the woman's birthday. The man had a brilliant idea: to give his beloved a sea of flowers! He brought them straight from the Netherlands. Vibrant and colorful, they embodied the whole range of his feelings: yellow for joy, pink for tenderness, red for passion, white for respect, and purple for gratitude.

The couple decided to develop the concept together, and the result was a tulip park. Since then, it has been a favorite neighborhood for locals and visitors to Kropyvnytskyi. People come here to relax with their families, find inspiration, and simply pause and admire the gifts of nature.

Nevytske, Zakarpattia region

This location is a real fruit of collective labor. One woman came up with the idea to create a "blooming business card" on the site of an abandoned shrubbery. She was supported by her fellow villagers, found a grant program, and filled out an application for participation in the national agricultural competition "Incredible Villages of Ukraine." They competed not for money but for 10 thousand bulbs of different varieties from the Dutch Embassy.

Nevytske took the third place and achieved its goal. The settlement was presented with tulips, which were soon planted under the supervision of soil quality specialists. All willing villagers were involved in the project, including pensioners, who thus found work.

The locals created an alley and installed a wooden windmill, as well as benches and stands. Now these flower beds are a favorite photo spot for many tourists.

Spivoche Pole, Kyiv

The park is a place of green recreation for residents and visitors of the capital. 30 hectares of open space with a stage in the center make it an ideal location for concerts and festivals.

There are also panoramic slopes planted with hundreds of species of trees, shrubs and other plants, and observation decks offering stunning views of the Dnipro River and the left bank.

Traditional exhibitions are held here every spring. During this period, 500 thousand flowers of various varieties bloom. Among them are irises, crocuses, daffodils, and others. Photo zones, installations, and food courts are open during the show.
