The fight took place in Sofia

Famous Ukrainian heavyweight Ihor Shevadzutskiy (11-1, 9 KOs) lost to 42-year-old Bulgarian Kubrat Pulev (30-3, 14 KOs) and failed to win the vacant WBA International title. The fight in Sofia ended with a unanimous decision of the judges 111:117, 111:117, 111:117.

The first round began in a kind of reconnaissance. The 32-year-old from Kryvyi Rih occupied the center of the ring, mostly closing in a block and relying on a powerful knockout punch. Pulev tried to feel for our compatriot's weaknesses with a jab, but he was also not particularly active.

A similar slow fight continued in the second round. Kubrat managed to land several unpleasant combinations, and in response, Shevadzutskiy snapped back with a left straight.

In the third three minutes, the Ukrainian boxer also became more active, hitting his opponent in the head several times. The fight was often interrupted by clinches. Pulev threw more punches, and in the last seconds Igor missed a nasty side head kick, but he was saved by the bell.

In the fourth round, Pulev was noticeably tired, but continued to throw combinations. Shevadzutskiy spent most of the time defending himself, trying to get his opponent with sharp shots from the left side.

The fifth period began with massive attacks from the Bulgarian. The Kryvyi Rih fighter closed in the block again and waited for his moment.

Gradually, the advantage of the ring owner became more and more obvious. He worked with combinations, threw much more punches and was significantly superior to the Ukrainian fighter in technique.

Pulev's pressure continued in the final rounds. Ihor Shevadzutskiy was unable to organize anything serious, suffering the second defeat of his career.

Last year, Ihor Shevadzutskiy (10-1, 8 KOs) suffered the first defeat of his professional career. The 32-year-old from Kryvyi Rih lost early to Congo's Martin Bakola (19-1, 14 KOs) at a boxing night in Rzeszow, Poland.

It should be noted that 9 years ago, Pulev lost to Volodymyr Klychko. According to many experts, this knockout was the worst in the Ukrainian's career.
