Ukraine’s "Ukrposhta" earns a place in the global postal rankings: what was its score

"Ukrposhta" was ranked 8th in the Universal Postal Union's 2024 world postal ranking out of 192 post offices. Thus, the Ukrainian company has become one of the best post offices in the world.

This was announced by "Ukrposhta" CEO Ihor Smilianskyi. He noted that the company scored 72.7 points out of 100. For comparison: Portugal received 70.1 points, Greece – 56.3, and Vietnam – 75.6.

"A year ago, the rating was 6, and we had 51.3 points. This is the best indicator of development among all CIS countries, despite all the considerable investments and subsidies. Such a jump has included "Ukrposhta" in the list of countries with the greatest improvement year on year," he said in a statement.

Smilianskyi explained that a rating of 8 to 10 means that those who have been awarded them are among the best post offices in the world. Specifically, the 8 rating is given to companies that provide "a comprehensive product offering that allows the country to achieve economic development."

"The top of the rating is 9-10. This is even higher for creating added value," said "Ukrposhta" CEO.

The Universal Postal Union rating itself is calculated on the basis of 4 indicators. In particular:

• Reliability – quality and speed of delivery.

Over the year, "Ukrposhta" increased its score from 82.6 to 91.

• Delivery geography – the volume of international mail, import, and export.

The growth from 31.6 to 87.9.

• Business model suitability – the adaptability of different business models to the specific realities of a particular territory.

In the case of "Ukrposhta," Smilianskyi explained, it is about containerized, mobile offices, etc. The growth from 9.9 to 21.9.

• Business model resilience is the ability to withstand economic and political shocks.

Increase from 78.1 to 85.4.
