Ukr.net suffered a malfunction: users could not access the site, mail was also down

On Thursday, March 7, the Ukr.net service experienced a malfunction: the site's news feed and @ukr.net email became unavailable to Internet users. The reason was that the domain name registrar Network Solutions blocked the domain.

The situation was reported by the management in a press release, apologizing to users for the inconvenience. It is noted that the problem occurred at 01:35.

"Last night, the domain name registrar Network Solutions suddenly and without any warning blocked the ukr.net domain... The problem could not be resolved through the registrar's support service," said representatives of the Internet service.

They expressed hope that they will be able to get more information and find out the reasons and circumstances of the blocking at the beginning of the working day at the office of the American registrar company. They also asked Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United States Oksana Markarova for help.

"We are sorry that millions of Ukrainian users who read news on ukr.net and use @ukr.net mail every day are unable to do so now. We are doing our best to recover. Many caring people are helping us with this. We are confident that these difficulties are temporary, and soon the mail and news feed on the portal will be back online," the statement said.

It should be added that Ukr.net is one of the most popular online news services in Ukraine and is among the ten most visited websites in the Ukrainian segment of the network.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, on March 5, Ukrainians complained about problems with the Diia app. There was a battle in its operation, which did not last long.

On Tuesday evening, there were malfunctions on Facebook and Instagram. Some users were simply "kicked out" of their accounts and not allowed back in.
