Top 15 bad Trump's eating habits that are better to give up
It's no news to the American audience that the new US president, Donald Trump, is not the healthiest eater. You don't have to be a detective or an investigative journalist to uncover this information.
The head of state often publishes photos of himself enjoying fast food on board his private jet or in restaurants. OBOZ.UA will tell you about 15 bad eating habits of Trump that should be abandoned.
In the book Let Trump Be Trump, the authors, two former presidential aides, wrote: "Trump Force One had four main food groups: McDonald's, Kentucky Fried Chicken, pizza, and Diet Coke."
Love of fried food
Trump's affinity for fried food goes beyond just meat and side dishes. He also loves fried tacos full of cheese, sour cream, and taco meat. Needless to say, he really needs to cut back on his fried food intake – not surprisingly, fried foods are rich in saturated fat, which can have a negative impact on the heart.
His favorite McDonald's order contains 2390 calories
According to the book "Let Trump Be Trump," his favorite McDonald's menu is two Big Macs, two Filet-O-Fish, and a chocolate malt shake. His total calorie intake is 2390. This is a colossal figure, as the average calorie intake of a typical person per day is up to 2000 units.
At dinners at the White House, he ate cake and double scoops of ice cream
During his previous term, Trump always ate cake and a double scoop of ice cream at his White House dinners. As TIME magazine reported at the time, "he would get two scoops of vanilla ice cream with chocolate cream instead of one scoop for everyone else."
Eats a lot of red meat
Trump loves burgers, meatloaves, and steaks.
As we all know, red meat, especially marbled steak, is chock full of saturated fat, which can clog your arteries and ultimately cause cardiovascular disease if consumed regularly. As for ketchup, it's a lot of added sugar that is unnecessarily included in his diet.
Eats heavily fried steaks
According to Anthony Senecal, Trump's longtime butler, the president likes his steak to be as rare as possible.
Carcinogens found in steaks cooked at such a high temperature have been linked to cancer. The chemicals, heterocyclic amines (HCAs) and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are formed when meat is cooked at high temperatures.
He allegedly drinks 12 diet Cokes a day
Trump once admitted to this during his next appearance on television. And in his story, there was not a drop of concern about this.
Although any diet soda may seem more beneficial than its regular counterpart, it is not. As it turns out, it's not better for your health in the long run. Diet Coke is sweetened with a synthetic sweetener called aspartame. According to the American Cancer Society, artificial sweeteners like aspartame are about 200 times sweeter than cane sugar.
He often skips the most important meal of the day
In an interview with People magazine, the US president said he often skips breakfast. Even worse, when he decides to eat the most important morning meal, he chooses bacon strips and eggs, which are of course well fried.
Unhealthy weight loss
Trump allegedly lost 15 pounds (6.8 kg) during the last election campaign, but it wasn't in a healthy way that would have allowed him to maintain that weight loss over a period of time. Instead, it was quick and done by eating bites of snacks here and there, as opposed to eating nutrient-rich foods that keep you full.
Distracted eating
Trump does not have time to sit down at the dining room table and eat without distraction during his normal daily presidential duties. Therefore, he eats in different rooms and rather uncontrollably. Sometimes it happens in the middle of papers and during phone calls.
Eats the most unhealthy salad
Trump does eat the most harmful salad possible, called Cobb. The Cobb salad is probably the least vegetable-filled salad of all, boasting ingredients such as blue cheese, bacon crumbles, and chicken strips before being drizzled liberally with creamy dressing.
Eats unhealthy snacks
In his private jet, Trump allegedly keeps Lay's potato chips on board at all times.
Eats fast food several times a week
He told The Daily Mail that he eats fast food because "it's fast." According to a study conducted by the US National Center for Health Statistics, more than 36 percent of adults consume fast food on a given day of the week. Trump is one of those people.
Irregular meals
Former Trump aides wrote in their book"Let Trump Be Trump" that the US president usually doesn't eat for 14 to 16 hours, but then fills his stomach with junk food from his favorite fast food restaurant, with almost 2,400 calories.
His portions are too big – and not only in fast food chains
His portions are too big, so he ends up consuming twice (or more!) the calories and fat of these already unhealthy meals. This doesn't just apply to desserts or fast food. He eats too much of any food.
He loves seasonings and sauces
Finally, Trump is known for his excessive use of seasonings. Steak isn't the only thing the US president seasoned with sauce. Whether it is chicken or salad, the owner of the White House will definitely add seasonings and sauces to it.
