Some of this year's films may win more than one award
On March 11, the American Film Academy will name the films, actors and directors that impressed it the most last year, and for now, moviegoers can only guess which of the nominees will take home the statuettes. It is logical that films that have been recognized in many nominations have more chances, so it is likely that some will win more than one award.
For example, the sensational Oppenheimer can claim victory in as many as 13 different categories. OBOZ.UA will tell you about the films that have many nominations this year.
As we have already noted, Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer impressed the Academy not only with the plot but also with cinematography, acting, direction, and more. "Best Picture", "Best Director", "Best Actor", "Best Supporting Actor", "Best Supporting Actress" are just a few of the awards that the team that worked on the film can win.
The second most nominated film is Poor Things by Yorgos Lanthimos, which may receive as many as 11 awards. The director has created something extremely atypical for Hollywood, and for this he has received well-deserved recognition.
The movie Killers of the Flower Moon rounds out the top three, having been nominated in 10 different categories. Although Leonardo DiCaprio, the main character, did not get into the Best Actor category, the film can claim awards for Best Director, Best Actress and the main statuette for Best Picture.
The movie Barbie with Margot Robbie can get 8 nominations if it wins in each of them. Although it was more grossing than Oppenheimer, critics greeted the movie more coolly.
Maestro about the life of the composer Leonard Bernstein has 7 nominations.
