The future photo sharing app may be called TikTok Notes. TikTok also confirmed that the program is currently under development, so it is too early to announce any specific details about the functionality.
The announcement says that TikTok Notes will provide access to "existing and future public posts of TikTok photos" and will also give users the option to opt out of this feature.
Over the past few days, TikTok users have been receiving notifications about the release of the new app.
"We are committed to innovative solutions, looking for ways to provide the TikTok community with the ability to share photos and text in a dedicated space for these formats," the company representative emphasized.
Last month, it was reported that the company was working on launching a photo sharing app called TikTok Photos. Now it has become known that TikTok is considering a different name for the app.
It looks like the new app is getting closer to its official launch – and it could become a serious competitor to Instagram. TikTok Notes is likely to be pre-filled with all the photos that TikTok users have already shared (given the consent of users).
