Three captivating new shows on Netflix worth watching next

Elena BylimNews

Netflix adds new movies and TV shows to its library ever week, making it more and more harder for viewers to choose. The Netflix Top 10 can help you navigate, but it doesn't always guarantee quality.

That's why OBOZ.UA has selected three new TV series that we think are worth watching. Among them are a dramatic story based on real events, a continuation of a popular series, and a German sci-fi thriller.

Cassandra

A sci-fi series consisting of six episodes that has become a new hit on Netflix. The story revolves around a family that moves into the oldest smart home in the country, which has its own intriguing history. After the family settles in, a retro AI assistant, Cassandra, is reactivated, once belonging to the original owner who died under mysterious circumstances.

As it turns out, Cassandra has decided to never be alone again and begins to exhibit ominous behavior, gradually becoming more and more attached to her new family.

The series captivates with its tense atmosphere and sci-fi elements that impress the viewer with each new episode.

Cobra Kai

This is an American comedy drama series that is a sequel to the cult movie The Karate Kid. The series takes place 34 years after the events of the first part of the movie and focuses on Johnny Lawrence, Daniel LaRusso's former enemy. Johnny decides to restore the legendary Cobra Kai karate dojo, which sparks a new rivalry between him and Daniel.

The series explores the lives of the main characters, their difficulties, relationships with their families, and the education of new generations of students. Cobra Kai also touches upon the themes of growth, reconciliation and the search for inner peace.

After the series was initially released on YouTube, it moved to Netflix, where it gained even more popularity. The series combines elements of martial arts, humor, and dramatic situations, making it engaging for viewers of all ages.

Apple Cider Vinegar

The series, based on real events, tells the story of Belle Gibson, a young Australian woman who gained fame thanks to the Whole Pantry app. In it, she claimed that she was able to overcome a fatal illness thanks to alternative medicine, in particular apple cider vinegar.

Refusing conventional treatment, she promoted healthy eating and traditional medicine, which attracted the attention of hundreds of thousands of people. However, Belle's story turned out to be a hoax: not a single word she said was confirmed by official documents.

The series explores the ethical issues of health manipulation and its dire consequences for gullible people.
