We all dream of flawless makeup that will emphasize our beauty and hide our imperfections. However, sometimes it seems like a real art that only professionals can do.
In the pursuit of the perfect face, we often overload our makeup, making it artificial or too noticeable. Fortunately, Refinery29 has shared five simple but effective tips to help make your daily makeup look perfect.
Natural eyelids
Women usually use a lot of makeup to hide dark circles under their eyes. However, our eyelids not only have natural folds that collect foundation and concealer but also naturally have a darker or pinker shade than the rest of our face. So don't treat this area as if it's an uneven skin tone that needs to be masked.
Instead, let the natural color of the eyelids shine through the makeup. It will look very natural and organic.
Lipstick as a blush
You don't need cream blush if you have lipstick on hand. Of course, this is not a new idea, but you need to choose the right way to apply it so as not to overload the light coverage.
First, make sure your hands are clean, and then apply a little lipstick to the soft pad at the base of your palm right under your thumb. Gently rub your palms together and then place them on the highest points of your cheeks. Finally, apply a little bit of the remaining lipstick to the tip of your nose.
Blend lipstick
While it's true that a full lip is beautiful, it's not ideal for light, everyday makeup. To start, apply lipstick as usual, then take a small eyeshadow brush and gently sweep it along the upper and lower lip lines to blur the edges.
Apply mascara with your eyes closed
At first it may seem impossible, but it's not.
First, curl your eyelashes with a special curler. Then close your eye and slightly raise your eyebrow.
This way, you can carefully paint your eyelashes and not worry that the cosmetic will get into your open eye.
Brush
Not all foundation brushes are created equal. If you want to achieve a dense coverage, for example, for a photo shoot, then something with dense bristles is best. But if you need to look natural and just cover a few minor imperfections, consider a flat brush.
