"There are problems in their country": the national team of Bosnia named the advantage over Ukraine in the playoffs for Euro 2024

The famous Bosnia and Herzegovina footballer Zvezdan Misimovic, who is currently the technical director of the teams, called the war in Ukraine and the winter break one of the main advantages of the Balkans in the semifinal of the Euro 2024 playoffs against the Yellow and Blues. He expressed confidence that Rebrov's team would have a hard time in the away game.

Misimovic said this in an interview with the Sport Centar portal. The 2014 World Cup participant noted that the Bosnians will be supported by a full 15,000-strong stadium in Zenica, while it will be physically difficult for the Ukrainians due to the lack of playing practice among the Premier League representatives.

"In general, anything is possible in these knockout matches. We are playing in Zenica, the stadium will be full, and I hope for a good and positive atmosphere. Ukraine is Ukraine, we recently played them in the qualifiers and we know them. They have various problems in their country, including football. Their league started only last week, so some of them will not be in competitive shape," Misimovic said.

Earlier, the head coach of the national team of Ukraine Serhiy Rebrov announced the team for the semifinal playoff match of the Euro 2024 qualifiers.

To reach the finals of the 2024 European Championship in Germany, the Ukrainian national team needs to overcome the playoffs. On March 21, the Blue and Yellows will play away to Bosnia and Herzegovina in the semifinals. In case of victory in four days, Serhiy Rebrov's wards will compete for a ticket to the championship with the strongest in the pair Israel - Iceland.
