The Russian national soccer team has once again become a laughingstock on the Internet because of the search for sparring partners for friendly matches. According to journalists, next year Valery Karpin's team is likely to play with representatives of Zanzibar.

This is reported by Sport-Express, which notes that the Russian Football Union (RFU) is in talks with colleagues from Zanzibar. It should be noted that the national team of this autonomous region of Tanzania is not a member of the International Football Federation (FIFA).

Readers of the Sports.ru portal reacted strongly to this news, quoting Aibolit and Valery Meladze's song Limbo. They noted that the Russian Federation continues to hit rock bottom and wondered why Karpin's team cannot play against teams from the BRICS or L/DPR.
